A classroom for pharmacy exams

Pharmakaksha is exam prep built for pharmacy. We turn a big syllabus into a daily plan you can follow, with the right topics, steady testing and honest feedback until you're ready for exam day.

This batch has one goal: a CBT score high enough to rank inside your RRB's Pharmacist vacancies, because only that many candidates are called for document verification.

You can choose only one RRB. Merit lists are drawn RRB-wise, and more than one application leads to rejection of all of them and debarment. Check your RRB's category-wise break-up in Annexure B of the notice before you apply.

Vacancies are provisional and may increase or decrease. Ex-servicemen and PwBD vacancies are counted within these figures.

Who can apply

  1. B.Pharm (Allopathic) from a Central or State Government recognised university or institute, or Pharm.D, and
  2. Registered as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.

You must hold the qualification by 14 Oct 2026; candidates awaiting final results are not eligible. This notice does not list D.Pharm. Medical standard C2 (distance vision 6/12, nil, with or without glasses).

Route · selection process

There is one written stage. Your CBT marks decide your rank within your RRB, and only as many candidates as there are vacancies are called for document verification, so clearing the qualifying mark is only the first goal.

  1. 1

    Computer-based test This course

100 MCQs in 90 minutes (120 minutes for eligible scribe users), ⅓ mark deducted per wrong answer. Qualifying marks: 40% UR/EWS, 30% OBC (NCL) and SC, 25% ST. Marks are normalised if the CBT runs in several shifts.

  2. 2

    Document verification (1:1)

Shortlisted RRB-wise at one candidate per vacancy, on CBT merit. Ties go to the older candidate, then alphabetically by given name.

  3. 3

    Medical examination

Medical standard C2, conducted by the Railway administration.

  4. 4

    Empanelment and allotment

Railway zone or unit is allotted by merit, your stated preferences and the vacancy position.

The paper

  • Professional ability (pharmacy)70
  • General awareness10
  • Arithmetic, intelligence and reasoning10
  • General science (up to Class 10)10

One mark per question, four options each. RRB calls this split indicative; the paper may vary.

What will your attempt score?

Move the sliders to see your marks under the +1 / −⅓ rule and whether you clear your community's qualifying mark.

Community
46.67 / 100
Clears the qualifying mark
0Qualifying 40100

With 118 posts spread over 20 RRBs, the score that gets a DV call is usually well above the qualifying mark. Aim for rank, not just the cut-off.

When is a guess worth it?

With four options and a ⅓ penalty, a blind guess earns nothing on average. Rule out even one option and every guess starts paying. We train elimination on every mock.

ABCD
Blind guess (1 in 4)±0.00 per guess
ABCD
One option ruled out (1 in 3)+0.11 per guess
ABCD
Two ruled out (1 in 2)+0.33 per guess

Expected marks = 1 × P(correct) − ⅓ × P(wrong).
